Soil Moist
has been developed to reduce the amount of water needed to maintain vigorous plants and other green goods. When mixed in the soil, the crystals will soften and swell as water is added and absorbed. When the potting system dries, the polymer will release its water to the plant. Soil Moist acts as a water reservoir--even during periods of drought the stored water is released to the plant. The expansion and retraction of the polymer during the watering cycle helps soil aeration, which is important to all plants.
Note
: Soil Moist must be incorporated into the soil at the root level of the plant/green good. Do not top dress or place on the surface.
Soil Moist Plus
Soil Moist Plus 7-7-7 is a synthetic acrylic water storing polymer blended with an 8-9 month timed release 7-7-7 fertilizer. It is a safe, non-toxic polymer used in all horticultural and landscape applications. When used according to the application rates, SOIL MOIST PLUS 7-7-7 will reduce irrigation frequency by 50% and last 3-5 years in the soil. The fertilizer is effective in the soil for 8-9 months at 70°F.
Soil Moist Plus 7-7-7 polymers are not multi-use polymers that were developed for other industries. Soil Moist Plus 7- 7-7 are potassium based and specifically designed for the horticultural and landscape industry.

Transplanting
Mix three ounces of Soil Moist Plus 7-7-7 per one foot of rootball. Mix a majority of the polymer around the planting hole, mix balance with backfill. Do not amend the top two inches with polymer. Water liberally. Rate should be increased to four ounces per one foot of rootball in sandy soils.

Two methods available: sprinkle a small amount (1/2 tsp.) of Soil Moist Plus 7-7-7 in the plant hole, plant and cover with soil or apply one and one half pounds per 100 square feet of ground area. Spread the polymer and work into the soil at a depth of three to four inches.
