    Antique AFRICAN Basket Bowl~Woven COILED Grasses.  Nigeria, could be Hausa
    12.5" x 4"
    Excellent Antique Condition. Some raffia missing at rim. Tight weave.  Even with fade due to age, it has beautiful coloration.

    This basket is from the collection of my former mother-in-law, Eleanor Wolters.  Eleanor had an extensive collection of artifacts--masks, scuptures, baskets--from many countries and ethnicities. She was an award-winning artist and understood the value of properly caring for artifacts and artwork.  Many of the baskets I am listing on eBay are in excellent condition because of this care.
